Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface Aided Sparse DOA Estimation Method With Non-ULA

The direction of arrival (DOA) estimation problem is addressed in this letter. A reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) aided system for the DOA proposed. Unlike traditional systems, a low-cost with only one complete functional receiver given by changing phases reflected signals at RIS elements to realize multiple measurements. Moreover, an atomic norm-based method proposed exploiting target sparsity spatial domain and solved semi-definite programming (SDP) method. Furthermore, can be any geometry array practical consideration, so transformation matrix formulated different from conventional SDP Simulation results show that estimate more accurately than existing methods non-uniform linear array.
